Use common verbs in different contexts (ser, estar, tener, ir, hacer).
Handle everyday conversations like shopping, hobbies, and making plans.
Improve your pronunciation, fluency, and listening comprehension.
Strengthen your grammar and expand your vocabulary.
What we'll cover
Classes are taught almost entirely in Spanish, so you are speaking from day one. We use a flipped-classroom model, so you review short materials at home and spend class time on real conversation and practice.
Spanish-English cognates and essential expressions
Introducing yourself, the Spanish alphabet, and pronunciation
Shopping for souvenirs with definite and indefinite articles
Countries and nationalities
Conjugating regular verbs in the present indicative
Asking and answering questions with interrogatives
Describing people using "ser" and adjectives
Differentiating between "ser," "estar," and "ir"
Using prepositions of place with the verb "estar"
Final review and putting it all together

Who this course is for
Spanish for Advanced Beginners is the more advanced of the two A1 starting courses. It is built for adults who already know a little Spanish, the basics like greetings, a few words, and simple phrases, and want to turn that into real, everyday conversation.
