Spanish and Latin American Culture (B2-C1)
This exciting interactive course takes you on a journey through the fascinating terrain of Spanish and Latin American culture. Through stories, songs, newspaper articles, audios, and videos, you'll gain an overview of key issues in the past and present of the Spanish-speaking world. Possible topics include Spanish history, gender relations, Afro-Caribbean culture, dictators and democracy, Latin America's indigenous peoples, art and music, and Latino culture in the U.S.
The course's emphasis throughout will be on reading, vocabulary building, and dynamic discussions of cultural topics, though review of key grammatical points may be included if necessary. Students should have a solid command of all the indicative tenses, along with some knowledge of the subjunctive. The course may be taken more than once, as topics will vary.
By the end of this course, you’ll be able to:

➡️ Engage in spontaneous, fluent conversations with native speakers
