Uruguayan Encounters (B2-C1)
Uruguay is one of the smallest countries in South America. However, it stands out for its democratic political system, its celebration of the longest carnival in the world, and its beautiful beaches along the Atlantic Ocean. In this course, you will explore Uruguay's rich cultural heritage, learn about its government and varied history, explore its carnival and celebrated candombe, virtually visit its well known seaside resorts, appreciate its art in its various forms, investigate the rioplatense variety of Spanish, dance the tango and much more! The weekly classes will focus on expanding vocabulary and using idiomatic expressions, making conversation the core of the course and encouraging active participation from all students.
By the end of this course, you’ll be able to:
