Can I customize my ANNUAL study plan based on my schedule?
Absolutely! You have full flexibility to mix and match in-person and online group courses, private tutoring, and club events, tailoring a plan that aligns perfectly with your learning style, schedule, and goals. We’re here to help you design the roadmap that works best for you.
I've already taken half of the classes on my roadmap. Do I have to retake them?
No, you don’t need to retake any courses you’ve already completed! Once you’ve finished the courses at your current level and feel ready to advance, you can take our Level Exit Exam at any time. This assessment will gauge your progress, confirm your mastery, and highlight any areas needing extra attention. If further support is needed, we’ll work with you to develop a tailored plan that addresses your specific goals and ensures your continued success.
HOW DO I SIGN UP FOR MY ADDITIONAL COURSES WHEN I ENROLL IN THE ROADMAP?
When you choose to add-on an additional 3 courses to your registration, the WLS team will review your profile and sign you up for the appropriate follow-on courses per your individual roadmap. This removes the headache of having to schedule a new course each semester and provides you with a clear study plan and concrete goals for the entire year.
Can't make one of the courses we've signed you up for or prefer another course? No worries! Just let us know and we'll make the transfer.
CAN I TRANSFER FROM ONLINE CLASS TO AN IN-PERSON CLASS AND VICE VERSA?
We offer flexible course transfers, allowing you to switch to another course at your level anytime during the calendar year. If you transfer from an online course to an in-person course, you’ll simply pay the price difference. If you switch from in-person to online, we’ll credit you the difference.
What if I fall behind or miss several class SESSIONS?
Don’t worry! You can use your membership credits for makeup sessions to catch up and stay aligned with your learning goals. Plus, all our Zoom classes are recorded, so you’ll have access to video recordings to follow along at your own pace with your course materials.
HOW MANY STUDENTS ARE IN EACH COURSE?
We cap all courses at 10 students and due to our high demand, many courses fill up quickly. The average class size is 6 students, but lower levels do tend to have a higher number of students.
What exactly does the MONTHLY membership include?
Your membership includes $105 in credits each month, which you can use to sign up for cultural club events, private tutoring, or makeup sessions—all at no additional cost. These credits offer you the flexibility to personalize your learning experience, with opportunities to mix and match based on your goals and schedule. It’s a versatile way to get extra support and cultural immersion on your journey to fluency.
Can I transfer my MONTHLY membership, PRIVATE TUTORING CODE OR COURSE credits to another student?
Unfortunately we cannot transfer any services purchased for one student to another. Credits and codes, however, are are valid for 365 days.
How do I redeem my monthly membership credits?
Once your membership is activated, you’ll receive a code for $105 in monthly credits. To redeem your credits, simply enter the code into the "REDEEM COUPON OR PACKAGE" box when signing up for a cultural club event, private tutoring session, or makeup class. The cost of your selected offering will be deducted from your credits, and if there’s any remaining balance, you’ll be charged the difference.
WILL MY MEMBERSHIP CREDITS ROLL OVER?
The membership credits reset to $105 on the same day each month, so be sure to use them within a 30-day period each month. You can use the credit to book offerings that taken place within the month or in future month.

What is required to successfully pass a course?
Students are highly encouraged to attend at least 8 out of 10 sessions of a group course and sign up for makeup sessions to review a missed session to ensure they don't fall behind and are able to obtain all of the information taught in each course.
What happens if I don’t pass the Level Exit Test OR I COMPLETE ALL THE COURSES IN MY LEVEL BUT I'M NOT READY TO MOVE ON?
Don’t worry! We’ll work with you to identify the areas that need improvement and offer either private tutoring or additional courses to help you master the skills and advance to the next level. There is a lot to learn in each level and many students find it incredibly beneficial to take some courses twice.
How do I earn digital badges to show my spanish competency?
1. Take our Level Placement Test to determine your current level. 2. Successfully complete all 20-hour group courses within the level. 3. Take and pass our Level Exit Exam. 4. Earn your Digital Badge and advance to the next level.
what type of training have your teachers received?
Every teacher at WLS is a professionally trained language teacher. In addition to holding certificates, Bachelor degrees and/or Master degrees in teaching Spanish as a foreign language, they also receive internal, year-round training at WLS.
I can't commit to a full year of courses, unfortunately. Can I still take classes?
Absolutely! While our annual roadmap is designed to help you see faster results, it’s not a requirement. You’re welcome to sign up for classes individually, allowing you to learn at a pace that fits your schedule and budget. We’re here to support your progress, however you choose to join us!
DO YOU OFFER payment planS?
Unfortunately we do not offer payment plans at this time and all courses must be paid for in-full during registration.
Where are your in-person classes located?
By January 2025, all of our in-person classes will be held in Falls Church at 7389 Us-29, Falls Church, Virginia.
WHAT IS YOUR REFUND POLICY?
Students are eligible for a course credit valid for 365 days for the full amount they paid for the course. This credit will only be available to students who withdrawal at least 7 days prior to the start of the class.
If we decide to cancel a course that has been advertised, and for which a student has registered, an alternative course will be proposed, but if that is not acceptable, a full refund will be given.
Once a course has started, transfers can only be made if the student is in the wrong level. If this is the case, the student will be transferred to a course at the appropriate level. Same-level transfers, course credits or course refunds will not be allowed once a course has begun. A 24-hour notice is required for cancellation of any private tutoring lesson. Failure to provide notice will result in a charge for the lesson.
Private tutoring packages and corporate hours are valid for a period of 365 days and are non-refundable.
Subscription packages are charged each month for a minimum of six months. Credits must be used within the month and will not roll into the next month.
