Private lessons are sold as packages. Buy your hours up front for a lower rate, then book them however you like, online or in Falls Church. The more hours you buy, the more you save, and every package is good for a full year.

Drop into our conversation clubs to keep speaking between lessons, add a group course for structured practice with classmates, and when you are ready, put it all to use on an immersion trip. Your tutor helps you fit the pieces together.

Questions students ask.
Are lessons online or in person, and are the online teachers just as good?
Both, and yes. You can learn live online over Zoom or in person at our Falls Church studio, and every teacher is professionally trained and qualified either way. Online lessons are just as effective, many students prefer the flexibility, and you can mix online and in-person sessions across the same package.
How do the packages and codes work?
You buy a block of hours up front at a discounted rate and receive a package code. Use that code to book sessions whenever you like, one at a time, online or in Falls Church. The more hours you buy, the lower your hourly rate, and the largest packages include free conversation club events.
Can I share lessons with a partner or colleague?
Yes. Two people can learn together in one session, so a partner, friend, or coworker can join you. Pick the two-student package, and for three or more, tell us what you need and we will build a package for your group.
What if I need to reschedule?
Sessions are booked at least 24 hours in advance, and you can reschedule with at least 24 hours notice. Lessons canceled with less than 24 hours notice are charged in full. Your package hours stay valid for 365 days from purchase, so you have a full year to use them.
Do I need to take the placement test first?
It helps but it is not required. The Level Placement Test tells your teacher where you are starting so your very first lesson is pitched right. If you are a true beginner, you can skip it and simply book the free 30-minute lesson.
