Work-Life Spanish is committed to providing comprehensive Spanish language and cultural education for adults, both in Arlington, VA and online, in accordance with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), which organizes language proficiency into six levels from A1 to C2.
Each of these levels offers a series of 20-hour courses that integrate grammar studies with speaking, listening, reading, writing, and cultural insights. Our courses are held once a week, each session lasting two hours, totaling 20 hours of instruction. Our instructors are all highly trained language professionals with years of teaching experience.
Once a student's proficiency level is determined through our online level placement test, they can enroll in any of the courses offered at their current level. Students progress through each course within their level, culminating in the Level Exit Exam. Successful completion of this exam awards the student with a Digital Badge at that level, which can be showcased on social media, resumes, and used to track language progression. With this achievement, the student is prepared to advance to the next level!

COGNITIVE GRAMMAR THROUGH COMMUNICATION
Grammar is an absolute requirement when learning a new language, but memorizing rote grammar rules is not. In our courses, students will focus on the function of the grammar point and will learn how to communicate real-life scenarios in a communicative setting.
CUSTOM-MADE TEACHING MATERIALS
Our teaching materials are created in-house and updated frequently based on teacher and student feedback and complete activities that will work all four language skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing) regardless of the level.
LEVEL EXIT TESTS
Level Exit Tests are administered to students who complete each 20-hour course within their current level to ensure they are ready to proceed to the next level!
DIGITAL BADGES
Each student who successfully completes a Level Exit Exam will be awarded a Digital Badge which they can proudly display on their social media profiles and resumé.
