WLS trips aren't bucket-list checklists or guided sightseeing tours. They're carefully crafted journeys where Spanish, adventure, wellness, and community come together to create something deeper than vacation.
Most group trips compress a country into a list of sites and a series of bus rides. Ours don't work that way. We slow down so the place can teach us. We use Spanish in real situations, every day, with real people. We hike, eat locally sourced food, practice yoga where it makes sense, and make space for the kind of unhurried conversation that only happens when you're with the same small group for ten days.
By the end of every WLS trip, our travelers have stopped wondering whether they could really do this. They've done it. They've spoken Spanish in a country that lives in Spanish, hiked through landscapes most travelers only see from windows, eaten food cooked by hands they shook, and come home with a small group of people who are now part of their life.

Why WLS trips are different

Montevideo, Punta del Este, Colonia del Sacramento & Sierras de Minas
Nine days exploring Uruguay's vibrant capital, dramatic coastline, world-class Tannat wine country, and the rolling Sierras de Minas. Travelers experienced the world's longest Carnival celebration, an authentic tango dinner show, walking tours through UNESCO-listed Colonia del Sacramento, private vineyard tastings, and adventure activities in the countryside, all while practicing Spanish in real-world contexts each day.

Costa Rica 2024
South Pacific Coast at Hacienda Barú
Our inaugural immersion retreat blended Spanish learning with wellness and rainforest adventure at Hacienda Barú, an ecolodge surrounded by tropical wildlife. Travelers practiced Spanish through daily yoga, zip-lining, snorkeling near Isla del Caño, swimming under Nauyaca Falls, jungle night walks, traditional cooking classes, a visit to the Boruca Indigenous community, and salsa dancing. Nine days of language learning rooted in nature, culture, and connection.
